Customs accounting software lets you handle customs clearance documents and costs together with the rest of the shipment and sales data. In the Customs module of One Soft ERP, a customs document is created in one of two ways: from the Logistics document when your company carries the cargo, or as a separate clearance-only document when another company handles transport.

When customs costs are recorded separately, reflecting them correctly in the selling price, tracking customer payments for an import and seeing the overall picture means pulling data from several sources. The Customs module joins cost, sale and payment into one chain.

Customs module - as its name suggests, is a module for customs clearance. In this module you can create a customs document in two forms. One of them is that the shipment is carried out by your company, where you create a Customs document through the Logistics Document, and all the information is reflected in the newly created Customs Document through the Logistics Document. The second form is that the shipment may be carried out by another company, and you just do customs clearance. A Customs document is created in this form. Then there are certain expenses at customs that are entered in the system, such as declaration expenses, short import duties and other expenses. These expenses are entered into the system, and a selling price is formed on the basis of these expenses, and you can add that selling price to a certain algorithm so that the selling price is based on that algorithm.

In addition, it is possible to integrate other modules with the Customs module. You can create a Sales Order document directly through the Customs document, and since the Sales Invoice is created on this Sales Order document, you can track the amount paid by the customer, the balance debt both on the Financial document and on the Customs document. When you receive the report at the end, it is possible to summarize all the information in both the Finance module and the Customs module in one report and follow it all because this process is a linkable process.

Most international ERP vendors don't support Azerbaijani customs declaration procedures — which makes our Customs module a strong local differentiator for any import/export business.

Who it's for

  • Companies importing and exporting goods
  • Businesses providing customs clearance services
  • Trading companies that build selling prices on top of customs costs

How it works

  1. 01The customs document is created from the Logistics document or on its own.
  2. 02Declaration costs, import duties and other costs are entered.
  3. 03The selling price is formed from those costs using your company's algorithm.
  4. 04A Sales Order is created from the customs document, and a Sales Invoice from that order.
  5. 05The customer's payment and balance are tracked on the Finance and Customs documents.

Key capabilities

  • Customs documents created from a Logistics document or on their own
  • Declaration costs, import duties and other customs costs recorded
  • Selling price formed from those costs
  • Selling price based on an algorithm your company defines
  • Sales Orders created directly from the customs document
  • Amount paid and balance owed by the customer tracked on the customs document
  • Finance and Customs data combined in one report

How it connects to other modules

The Customs module sits between Logistics and Sales. When the company carries the cargo itself, the Customs document is created from the Logistics document. A Sales Order is created from the Customs document and a Sales Invoice from that order; when the customer pays, the amount paid and the balance owed appear on both the Finance and the Customs document, and everything can be combined in one report.

Benefits

  • Customs costs are reflected correctly in the selling price
  • Logistics data is not retyped into the customs document
  • The full picture of an import — from cost to payment — in one place
  • No collecting data from different sources to build a report

Frequently asked questions

How is a customs document created?

In two ways: if your company carries the cargo, the Customs document is created from the Logistics document and the details move over; if another company handles transport, a separate clearance-only Customs document is created.

Which customs costs are recorded?

Declaration costs, import duties and other costs that arise at customs.

How do customs costs affect the selling price?

The selling price is formed from the costs entered, and it can be tied to an algorithm your company defines.

Can we sell from a customs document?

Yes. A Sales Order is created directly from the Customs document, and the Sales Invoice is built on that order.

Can we see customer debt per customs operation?

Yes. The amount paid and the balance owed are tracked on both the Finance document and the Customs document and combined in one report.

Which companies is the Customs module for?

Companies importing and exporting goods, businesses providing customs clearance services, and traders that build selling prices on customs costs.
